1-Day Kids Fishing Camp
Youth Fishing 101 - A 6 hour course for youth ages 10-14.
$75
This course is designed especially for youth ages 10-14. Classes are scheduled once a week from the beginning of the summer. Whether they are learning about conservation, fly tying, casting, bugs, or reeling in a big one on at a nearby fishing location, it will be fun and informative as kids get hooked on fly fishing. Lunch and drinks are not provided.

After School Fly Fishing
Fly Kids - After School Fly Fishing Class

This engaging and educational class includes instruction on all the fundamentals of fly fishing, including equipment, tools, casting, knot tying, fish identification, fly tying and more. Participating students will enjoy learning from the Pro's in a kid friendly environment which in most cases is their own school building. Some classes will even include a rod/reel combo from Scientific Anglers specifically designed to help beginners learn the in's and out's of fly casting. Classes are typically 8-1 hour sessions and include a light snack for participating students. Please contact us if you are interested in bringing our "Fly Kids" class to your school.

Reel Family Fun
Reel Family Fun - Learning how to catch fish

Reel Family Fun is designed to educate parents on fundamental fishing basics to share with their kids while youngsters learn the basics through fun, kid friendly activities. In this class, participants learn how to use basic spin casting equipment to fish with bait, spinners, and even flies. Families also get to test out their newly learned skills at a nearby fishing location under the watchful eye of an Angling University instructor. This course includes classroom time and on-water time at a nearby fishery. Price is per family -- up to 4 family members. $10/person above 4.

Learn to Fly Fish with Tenkara, Private Water
Tenkara 102 - Learn to Fly Fish with Tenkara on private water.
$195
Learn to fly fish with traditional Tenkara methods and techniques from certified Tenkara USA instructors in this 7 hour hands on class that features the ancient Japanese fishing techniques known as Tenkara. Using a simplified approach to fishing, learners will gain the necessary knowledge and skills needed to catch fish as they transition from the classroom to one of our private fishing preserves using Tenkara equipment. The use of Tenkara rod, lines, and flies are included in the price of this class.

Fly Casting Clinic
Fly Casting 102 - Fly Casting Clinic

Whether you are trying to lengthen your cast, increase your accuracy, or get rid of those pesky tailing loops, this is the class for you. The combination of classroom and "field" time build your background knowledge, confidence, and ability to reach your casting goals, no matter your current skill level. Rental equipment is available upon request, however we strongly recommend practicing with your own.

Family Fishing 101 - Family Fishing Camp

Family fishing camps are a great outdoor bonding experience for the entire family, designed to educate parents on fundamental fishing basics to share with their kids at one of our exclusive private fishing preserves. Morning classes are from 9:00am-12:00pm and afternoon classes run from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Cost for two to four family members is $250.00 ($50.00 for each additional family member). Equipment available upon request.

Fly Fishing Youth 101 - Kids 8-16 years old and their parents learn all about fly fishing.

This course combines the learning methods of our kids and youth camps with the content of our basic beginner courses. The result is a fun and interactive learning experience for youth ages 8-16 who leave with a much deeper knowledge of fishing.

Intro to Fly Fishing
Fly Fishing 101 - An interactive technology driven lecture for new fly anglers.

This course is a 2-hour indoor hands on seminar for beginning fly fishers. In this course, you will learn the basics of fish identification and characteristics, equipment, knots, fly selection, and casting. Bring a notebook and pen/pencil.

Intermediate Trout Skills
Fly Fishing 201 - Intermediate fly fishing techniques gets you thinking like an expert.

This course is an all-inclusive, 7-hour interactive workshop for novice and intermediate fly fishers and includes more field time than the 102 course. Class will be held on one of our many Blue Ribbon/Gold Medal trout streams. In this course, you will have a brief review of the basics. Class will then go to the water where you will spend time on casting and presentation to fish in the river and/or pond. You will take time to work on dry fly fishing, nymph fishing, and streamer fishing. All equipment is provided.

If its new and hot we got it and we will show you how to use it. This course focuses on advanced techniques, patterns and new tools and materials. Learn how to tie with epoxy, stack and spin deer hair, weave floss and bolo. This class will equip you to tie thousands of flies for trout, salmon, warm water, and saltwater species. Bugs for Beginners
Entomology 101: Trout Food - Where they live, how they behave and why the trout eat them.

Entomology geared for beginners and intermediate anglers. This class begins in our classroom and covers insect classification, lifecycle and behavior. Part two of this course involves collecting and sorting the actual insects. You will learn how to identify the bugs in the water and sort them into order and family. That knowledge will then be used to match the bugs to the flies in your box.

Entomology 201 Trout Flies Demystified

This 1 and ½ day course is designed for intermediate and advanced anglers who are looking to improve their fishing skills and take their bug knowledge to the next level. Rod Building 101
Snake Eyes and Inlays - Building and repairing graphite rods.

Our wildly popular Snake Eyes and Inlays workshop is formatted in a series and is designed to take you through the full rod building process. During this seminar students will learn all of the proper techniques for building custom rods. Techniques taught include selecting the right blank and components, splining blanks, attaching tip-tops, thread wrapping, cork drilling and gluing, filing guide feet, signing rods, applying finish, and attaching reel seats. Class size is limited to five builders.
