Fly Fishing 101 - An interactive technology driven lecture for new fly anglers.  This course is a 2-hour indoor hands on seminar for beginning fly fishers. In this course, you will learn the basics of fish identification and characteristics, equipment, knots, fly selection, and casting. Bring a notebook and pen/pencil.

Fly Fishing 401 - Advanced Colorado nymphing and streamer techniques.  This advanced workshop covers trout habitat, insect availability and activity, fly selection, equipment setup, casting and presentation. Nymphing disciplines including, high sticking, short lining, tight lining, long drifting, Czech nymphing, Polish nymphing and Moffitt Style nymphing are touch on along with many underutilized streamer techniques.

Entomology 101: Trout Food - Where they live, how they behave and why the trout eat them.  This class begins in our classroom and covers insect classification, lifecycle and behavior. Part two of this course involves collecting and sorting the actual insects.

Rod Building 101
Snake Eyes and Inlays - Building and repairing graphite rods.  Our wildly popular Snake Eyes and Inlays workshop is formatted in a series and is designed to take you through the full rod building process. Techniques taught include selecting the right blank and components, splining blanks, attaching tip-tops, thread wrapping, cork drilling and gluing, filing guide feet, signing rods, applying finish, and attaching reel seats. Class meets 3 sessions per month.

Intermediate Trout Skills
Fly Fishing 201 - Intermediate fly fishing techniques gets you thinking like an expert.  This course is an all-inclusive, 7-hour interactive workshop for novice and intermediate fly fishers and includes more field time than the 102 course. Class will be held on one of our many Blue Ribbon/Gold Medal trout streams. In this course, you will have a brief review of the basics. Class will then go to the water where you will spend time on casting and presentation to fish in the river and/or pond. You will take time to work on dry fly fishing, nymph fishing, and streamer fishing. All equipment is provided.
